Loire CotlerLa Voix (Loire) by Apollonia Saintclair

“Rhythm and voice are my wings, they are how I travel to a language beyond thought”

For Loire, life has always been about the natural rhythm of the universe. It has propelled her into a life that is defined by her passion for exploring all manifestations of vibratory phenomenon.

“Loire’s performance, which is out of this world, so powerful, so poetic… it brings so much sacred quality and lyricism to the movie… a testimony of how great an artist can be”

Denis Villeneuve

Loire is a Grammy nominated rhythm vocalist, composer and vocal sound designer. She is renowned for her blazing vocal percussion solos, interdimensional chants, Central Asian overtone singing, jazz scat and konnakol drum language.

“Uses her Voice in mystically percussive ways”

The New Yorker

“She is fearless… beautifully terrifying… She sang just one note, and it tore the enamel off my teeth and ripped my eyeballs out”

Hans Zimmer

“The frequencies of Love are an essential motor for my source rhythm, the heartbeat.”

Loire is currently touring as a featured soloist with Glen Velez Handance Ensemble and Hans Zimmer Live. Her distinctive voice, original lyrical chants and vocal arrangements can be heard on numerous albums, live performances, and blockbuster film scores, including Hans Zimmer’s Oscar winning score for Dune: Part One, James Newton Howard’s Oscar nominated score Raya and the Last Dragon and David Buckley's score for the Netflix series The Sandman. Loire attributes her rhythmic approach to Grammy winning frame drum legend and Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame inductee Glen Velez. Loire’s profound interest in the instinctive rhythmic-interconnectivity of migrating birds flying in formation play a vital role in her music work. Loire was born in NYC, on Valentine’s Day.
